A reinterpretation of the classic “performance” car type to meet new challenges.

A reinterpretation of the classic “performance” car type to meet new challenges.

Solar panels on upper-facing surfaces, an aerodynamic form, and low-carbon bio-polymer panels are part of the sustainable story for the ET-1 design. The core idea of this design, however, is to promote a greater connection between the city and the countryside by rethinking the classic shooting brake car design type, originally designed for hunting and shooting parties. This car would take urbanites out of the city to experience the countryside, a growing trend in student designer Alisson Liu's native China. It will also then form a base for people to explore the countryside further on foot.

This design shows the potential for the shooting brake to be reimagined as something relevant for the sustainable age, and as a means to connect people more closely with nature and the countryside.
