Senior Visual Designer | Digital Customer Experience

Let us describe the challenge we offer

An important part of our Brand & Marketing department is our Digital Customer Experience. The team is responsible for the Polestar design system and the overall digital experience on polestar.cn, supporting our overall business plan. The team (including talents within UX, UI, copywriting, publishing, and product management) works cross-functionally in product-oriented teams, all with the shared vision to create an on brand digital customer experience.

Polestar Digital Customer Experience inhouse team is growing and we are therefore looking for the most motivated talents within the field of visual design to take on a long-term commitment – making an impact that matters.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.

 

What you will do

In this position you will apply our brand principles to create great digital experiences, translating user needs and business and technical requirements into stunning and on-brand designs. Agency contact and art direction are also core responsibilities of this role.

For example, you will:

  • Generate clear ideas, concepts, and designs of digital interfaces from beginning to end
  • Art direct creative assets (images, film, and animations) that will be displayed on our digital products
  • Implement and optimize design processes
  • Help to improve our design system
  • Coach and lead other visual designers
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes UX researchers and UX designers, product managers and developers

Below you find skills and experiences we value high, and think are beneficial to succeed in this role:

  • Extensive experience with digital visual design
  • Strong portfolio including mobile digital experiences
  • Ability to refine other people’s ideas and create new ones to deliver great digital experiences
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Extensive skills in Figma and Adobe Creative
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • UX- and/or motion design-knowledge is a great plus
  • Experience with luxury brands is a plus

Since Polestar is in a scale-up phase you are comfortable with setting your own structure, being flexible in your prioritization and thrive by working in a fast-paced environment and accept English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
