We’re now looking for a young professional to take part in our graduate program in Operations & Finance in Brussels. For this position, you need to be younger than 24 at the start of your employment, and you will begin your journey with a two-year permanent contract with excellent growth opportunities after successful completion of the program.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

As Operations & Finance Administrator you are a key figure in the Operations and Finance Department of Polestar Belgium and Luxembourg. With a background in sales administration, operations and finance, you will manage financial processes linked to the sales and purchase activities of the entity. You will also ensure that all administrative tasks and processes related to operations and finance are completed in a timely and complete manner.

Besides this, you will be empowered to improve the current processes and monitor the day-to-day operational performance of our partners. Hence, this role will also offer you a lot of learning opportunities within soft skills, especially in the field of communication.

In this role you will be able to contribute to the correct implementation of a new direct to consumer business model that is unique in the automotive industry. This role will be based in Brussels, and you will report both to the Responsible of Operations & Business Development and the Business Controller.

What you'll do

Main Finance responsibilities:

  • Finance administration, including:
    - Accounts receivable support (customer invoice adjustments, payment follow-up, AR analysis)
    - Accounts payable support (PO creation and follow-up, payment follow-up, AP analysis)
    - Support in budget follow-up
  • Verifying, updating and approving customer’s financing applications
  • Implementing and streamlining of financial processes
  • Close cooperation with Global Finance Hub, the Company HQ, the Polestar Spaces and Customer Care Center

 

Main Operations responsibilities:

  • Updating of partner remunerations in local systems
  • Troubleshooting and identifying the root causes of IT issues related to our existing processes
  • Steering of the operational excellence of our strategic partners (White label, Investors, Charging, …)
  • Reporting of relevant SalesForce and PowerBI data
  • Updating of local legal Terms & Conditions
  • HR Admin Support and Office Management
  • Monitoring the users’ audit of digital tools

 

Who you are

You are a true team player and eager to deliver on commitments. You present a flexible and entrepreneurial attitude and you are able to embrace changes and possess the ability to work proactively in a changing environment. Since the scope of this position is wide, it will require a good deal of a ‘go-getter’ attitude but also patience in a start-up environment. Furthermore, you also possess a positive mindset, demonstrated analytical skills, and good communication skills.

Further on we believe you:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Not older than 24 years by the start of the employment
  • Excellent written and verbal French, Dutch and English skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Good understanding of automotive finance related processes is a plus
  • Relevant experience in automotive company, retail bank or leasing company is a plus
