Let us describe the challenge we offer
The Head of Network Development will implement Polestar’s retail infrastructure that shall build brand awareness and attract customers. The North American marketplace is a clear priority, which is why we need an experienced leader with skills in Network Development, to implement and support this operation for the North American retail network
You will be responsible for delivering Polestar’s global retail guidelines as well as global brand and marketing activities in the retail spaces. You will work collaboratively with both local and global teams to ensure that both roll-out and operational standards are met in terms of quality, time and budget. You will provide strategic insight and direction for development of our retailer network and will implement key strategic initiatives.
This role will be based in our Mahwah, NJ headquarters and reports directly into the Head of Polestar USA.
What you’ll do
- Lead a senior team across the North American market to strategically grow Polestar’s retail footprint
- Oversee all aspects of the process of selecting future Polestar retail location from scouting, franchising, brand presentation, construction, etc.
- Collaborate with our Global Network team to ensure alignment on network strategy and facility standards
- Responsible for developing and implementing network development strategies, national polices and procedures
- Cultivate and drive network support programs and activities
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience working in a similar role with a focus on expansion of a retail footprint
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in the automotive or premium franchise industry is preferred (Hotel, Luxury Retail, etc.)
- Familiarity of construction and project management in a retail development setting
- Strong organization skills and possess excellent time and project management skills
- Highly analytical and able to collect data in order to identify trends from a variety of sources
- You are dynamic and possess strong interpersonal skills that foster change
- Comfortable with managing budgets and have excellent numeracy skills, allowing you to lead with a commercially balanced view
- You thrive in fast paced, autonomous working environments
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
