Due to aggressive growth plans Polestar is currently looking to recruit a Software & Electronics Junior Process Engineer.

What you’ll do

The EE Platform Technologies team is a part of the Polestar R&D organization. The team’s mission is to deliver Processes, Methods and Tools used for the Software and Electronics development and verification. The team is also responsible for managing the Polestar vehicle projects on behalf of electrical as well as proofing out new feature concepts.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Working alongside the Polestar Software and Electronics Process Leaders, support the development of the SW&E processes and their documentation including workflows, process descriptions, work instructions, templates, guidelines and role descriptions
  • Contribute to the Polestar development process execution, roll-out and tooling support on projects, to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
  • Provide direction, information, and guidance to the development teams regarding standards, policies, and procedures
  • Support our engineering teams in complying to Polestar quality goals and our implementation of the industry standards
  • Conduct internal reviews, assessments and audits and ensure corrective actions are addressed

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or comparable field of study
  • Experience in the creation and implementation of engineering development processes for automotive products
  • Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and assertiveness skills
  • Strong ability to organize, communicate and work as part of a global team
  • Fluent in English language
  • Proficiency in various software including MS Office tools

Desired Experience, but not a must:

  • Knowledge of standards such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434
  • Experience developing and implementing software development processes
  • Successful implementation of a quality system in an automotive program
  • Experience with Agile software development principles
  • ASPICE Provisional Assessor training and certification
  • Other tools: Matlab Simulink, Vector toolchain, ALM, QC
