Network Development Manager

Let us describe the challenge we offer

The Network Development Manager will be responsible for executing Polestar’s retail expansion plan in the Northeastern US region and its ongoing development to ensure the achievement of the business goals of both Polestar and its retail partners. This role will lead the activation of Polestar retail Spaces and ensure its compliance to Polestar’s retail standards on an ongoing basis.

What you’ll do

  • Utilize the qualitative and quantitative tools at your disposal to determine ideal representation strategies within the region.
  • Present the Polestar brand to prospective retailers and guide the retailer application and activation processes, ensuring Polestar’s retail representation standards are implemented throughout the complete retailer operation.
  • Lead the site selection process, ensuring Polestar in-market representation is aligned to its brand standards.
  • Work alongside central functions to ensure the latest programs and tools made available to the Polestar network are implemented and maintained.
  • Lead the yearly retailer business planning processes within the region, ensuring the retailer network resources are aligned with the projected market throughput and overall business growth goals.
  • Create and manage retailer agreements to support network changes and facility upgrades.
  • Assist with the evaluation of network development activities including ownership changes, add points, sub optimal locations, and operator upgrades.

Who you are

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in network development and expansion preferably with an OEM
  • Possess excellent project management skills, preferably in projects involving site selection, architecture, construction and / or implementation of franchise standards.
  • Prior experience managing relationships with franchised automotive dealers.
  • Understanding of the automotive franchise legislation.
  • Strong business acumen gleaned from account or automotive management.
  • Understand the needs of a premium customer and the key drivers of satisfaction.
  • Ability to think strategically and work tactically.
  • Ability to work with and present to both C level executive teams and retailer principals
  • Drive and determination to work in an evolving, fast paced environment

*** This role requires overnight travel throughout the region and is expected to be within close distance to a major airport
